let's learn Islam

:bulletred: What is Islam?

The word Islam is an Arabic word meaning total submission to the Will of the God and obedience to His Law. Only through submission to the will of the God and by obedience to His Law can peace be achieved.
The proper name of the religion is Islam and its followers are properly called Muslims. The Muslims prefer calling the almighty God with His Name Allah, instead of the English word ‘God’. The Arabic word Allah is pure and unique, unlike the English word God which can be played around with.

If you add ‘s’ to God, it becomes ‘gods’ that is plural of God. Allah is one and singular, there is no plural of Allah. If you add ‘dess’ to God, it becomes ‘‘goddess’ that is a female God. There is nothing like male Allah or female Allah. Allah has no gender. If you add father to God, it becomes godfather’. “He is my Godfather” means that “he is my guardian”. There is nothing like ‘Allah Abba’ or ‘Allah father’ in Islam. If you add mother to God it becomes ‘godmother’, there is nothing like ‘Allah Ammi’ or ‘Allah Mother’ in Islam. If you put tin before God, it becomes tin-god i.e. a fake God, there is nothing like ‘tin Allah’ or ‘fake Allah’ in Islam. Allah is a unique word, which does not conjure up any mental picture nor can it be played around with. Hence, the Muslims prefer the name Allah when referring to the Almighty Creator. But sometimes while speaking to non-Muslims we may have to use the inappropriate word God for Allah.

The Will of Allah, as defined in His Revealed Guidance to all His Prophets, is good and compassionate, and His Law is the most beneficent and equitable. The religion of Islam is the complete acceptance of and compliance with the teachings and guidance of almighty God as revealed in His Last sacred Book, the Qur'an, to His messenger Mohammed -peace be upon him-, the final prophet of Islam.

The religion of Islam lays great emphasis on uncompromising monotheism and strict adherence to certain creeds and acts of worship. It enjoins submitting to the Will of the God and following the exemplary way of life of Mohammed -peace be upon him-, the guide and teacher of mankind.

:bulletred: Islam: Continuity of Divine Messages:

Islam is not a new religion. It is, in essence, the same message and guidance which the almighty God revealed to all prophets before Prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him-. Allah says in the final testament:
In the name of the God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
Say, "We have believed in Allah and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to the God we are Muslims [submitting]."
